COURTHOUSE WEDDING GUIDE

Wedding planning can be hectic and confusing when you are not too sure on what to do.
If you are looking to have a small and intimate wedding here is a five step guide to planning the perfect courthouse wedding.
1 - PICK A DATE
choosing a date is an important factor when planning your wedding day, picking a season and special day to celebrate for the rest of your life.
2 - PICK A LOCATION
Locations are endless it can be from your backyard, a beautiful park with a pond, a small venue or your city hall courthouse
here are some recommendations:
HARRIS COUNTY CIVIL COURTHOUSE : 201 Caroline St 5th floor, Houston, TX 77002 ( walk ins + appointments available)
1910 HARRIS COUNTY COURTHOUSE : no appointment required, it's a first come, first serve place.
we can use the inside if available and the outside if the weather permits.
Strict rules and hours of availability do change randomly.

3 - GET A MARRIAGE LICENSE
You must obtain a marriage license at least 1 month before your wedding. Visit your local courthouse and apply in person, take 2 forms of ID and both parties must be present. The license costs $60-$85, allows a 90-day validity period, and requires a 72-hour waiting period.
4 - BOOK AN OFFICIANT
find the right individual to legalize your marriage, someone that best fits your needs.
